TOPIC: God Is Gracious And Merciful (TREM Devotional 10 November 2025)
“…for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil.” – Jonah 4:2
MESSAGE
Beloved, the God we serve is a mighty God! But beyond His might, Jonah’s testimony reveals something even deeper about Him, that God is gracious and merciful. His mercy is ever reaching out to His children. That is why your life will not end in shame. The mercy of God will find you, lift you, and turn your story around. That situation will not destroy you, it will be turned for your good and for God’s glory because of His mercy.
Stop focusing on your errors and mistakes. Instead, focus on the mercy of God. The mercy of God is powerful, it sees you the way God sees you, not the way the devil or man sees you.
When Jonah finally went into Nineveh and preached, the people repented, and God’s grace and mercy reached out to them. The judgment that had been prepared was cancelled because Mercy said no. God is not defined by judgment or condemnation, He is defined by love, grace, and mercy. He is rich in mercy and slow to anger!
Beloved, learn to connect daily to God’s gracious disposition toward you. Expect His goodness. Receive His mercy. Live confidently knowing that your Father delights in showing you compassion.
And if you are yet to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, this is a good time to do so. Simply say: “Lord Jesus, I believe You died for me and rose again for my justification. I confess You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. Amen.”
