TOPIC: The Attitude Of Enquiry (Seeds Of Destiny 8 July 2022)
SCRIPTURE: Thus, saith the Lord, stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, we will not walk therein. Jeremiah 6:16.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Until questions are asked, answers are never accessed. The right questions give rise to the right answers.
MESSAGE:
The attitude of enquiry is an important posture or positioning for hearing God or receiving Divine direction.
The attitude of enquiry refers to the capacity to ask questions, relevant questions.
Jeremiah 6:16 says,
Thus, saith the Lord, stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, we will not walk therein.
The Scripture says, stand and ask.
Matthew 7:7-8 says,
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Beloved, always understand that answers are the products of questions. Until questions are asked, answers are never accessed. The right questions give rise to the right answers.
So, don’t be afraid to ask God questions because God is looking for whom to answer. At the place of prayer, Abraham asked God questions and God answered him. (Genesis 18:23-26).
David also asked God several questions and God answered him. 1 Samuel 30:8 says,
And David inquired at the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.
On another occasion, David enquired of God again. He heard that Saul was coming to Keilah, so, he asked God if the people of Keilah would deliver him into the hands of Saul and God answered him. (1 Samuel 23:10-13).
Beloved, maintain the attitude of enquiry. God is willing to give you Direction when you ask Him with a humble heart.
Remember this: Until questions are asked, answers are never accessed. The right questions give rise to the right answers.
ASSIGNMENTS:
- Make up your mind to seek the Mind of God over any issue you may be dealing with.
- Maintain a humble disposition before God in order to hear from Him.
PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your willingness to speak to me. I ask for the Spirit of humility to approach You always, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
