SCRIPTURE: And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more. Genesis 37:5.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The worst mistake you can make in life is to tell the important details of your life to your enemies.
MESSAGE:
From Scripture, we understand that one costly mistake Joseph made in life was to reveal his dreams to his brothers. That was what made them to hate him (Genesis 37:5).
So, the worst mistake you can make in life is to tell the important details of your life to your enemies.
Now, what category of people must you not reveal the details of your life to?
i. Those who do not value your person.
Do not tell the deep issues of your heart to those who devalue you.
ii. Those who do not respect your principles.
Do not reveal your life’s dreams to the people whose principles and values are not the same with yours. They may like to go out with men or women, drink alcohol, gossip, etc. but you do not do all these things. Never reveal your life’s details to such people.
iii. Those who do not understand your vision and passion for life.
Do not reveal your life’s dreams to people who do not understand your vision and passion for life. When you share your vision with them, they will think you are too zealous or that you are somewhat crazy.
iv. Those who have nothing to offer.
Do not reveal your life’s visions to those who have nothing positive and profitable to offer you.
v. Those who consider themselves your competitors.
Do not reveal your life’s details to those who think they are competing with you.
Remember this: The worst mistake you can make in life is to tell the important details of your life to your enemies.

- Fan your gifts and vision into flame.
PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your Word to me today. Help me to fan my visions to flame and not to reveal it to my adversaries, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
