Topic: God In The Fire

Date: Monday, December 13, 2021

Read: Exodus 3:1-5

Exodus 3:1-5 Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up.

So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up.”

When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, “Moses! Moses!” And Moses said, “Here I am.”

“Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.

MEMORISE: When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. (Isaiah 43:2).

EXPOSITION

Scientifically, fire is chemical reaction involving the bonding of oxygen with carbon or other fuel, with the production of beat and the presence of flame or smouldering. The experience of your life could be like fire. Things might have turn upside down for you. You may be in a situation that things ate very tough for you. But the truth of the matter is that the promises of God in the Bible cannot go without being fulfilled God knows eveeyrhing; He knows the reason why the situation is like that for you. He knows what He will do about it. If you observe the texts for today, you will see that God speaks out from the burning bush (Exo 3v5). If you learn how to see with spiritual eyes, you will see God in situation. On many occasions God speaks to His own people through the situation of life.

God uses different things to speak to us. Everything God allows and does is for a certain purpose and for our own good. There is purpose for the experience of fire you are passing through now. You will surely come out of it without any wound or scar. If you believe say a pounded amen. Set your eyes on what God is trying to bring out of that experience. You need to turn aside and see what is about to happen from the burning bush of your life. When the Lord saw that Moses turned aside to look, He spoke out to let him know why the bush was burning.

God also promised that He is with you in all situations of life. God is indeed in the fire. Do not be afraid, you are not alone.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Lord, give me the grace to see you in all situations of my life.

2. Lord, do not leave me alone in the personal experience of my Christian journey.

3. Pray for those Christians who are passing through fire in their lives in one way or the other.
