TOPIC: Acting Based On Revelation
It is time for us to stop doing things religiously and start doing them revelationally.
SCRIPTURE: But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. Matthew 13:8.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It is time for us to stop doing things religiously and start doing them revelationally.
In Matthew 13:1-9, Jesus gave the parable of the sower who went out and sowed his seeds. Some fell among thorns, some fell on the high way, some fell on the roadside and others fell on good ground. The ones that fell on good soil brought forth fruits in 30 folds, 60 folds and 100 folds.
Jesus went further to say that those which fell on good ground represent people who have a good and understanding heart.
The question is, if all of them have good and understanding hearts, why would they bring forth fruits in diverse and unequal measures? Some of them received 30 folds, others received 60 and others 100 folds. This is because their level of understanding differs. The only constant factor here was the good soil; the difference was in their level of understanding.
So, it is time for us to stop doing things religiously and start doing them revelationally. Ask the Lord to open your eyes to see His Word.
There was a Scripture I saw many years ago that changed my life. Everybody looked for gold but in 1 Kings 10:14, gold looked for (went to) Solomon:
Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred threescore and six talents of gold.
The Bible did not say the weight of gold that Solomon looked for, but …the weight of gold that came to Solomon…
This means, gold is mobile and active. You do not need to struggle for it to have it; it can come to you and for you. And since I caught this revelation, gold has been coming to me.
Remember this: It is time for us to stop doing things religiously and start doing them revelationally.
ASSIGNMENTS:
- Refuse to do things religiously; do things by revelation.
- Let the revelation of the Word of God be the backbone of all your actions.
PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace not to do things religiously but revelationally. Let the revelation of Your Word be the backbone of all my actions, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
