Worship in itself is described as the submission of all our nature to God. It is not an external activity precipitated by the right environment. Therefore, fruitful and acceptable worship begins before it begins.
I wonder if there was ever a time when true spiritual worship was at lower ebb. To great sections of the church, the art of worship has been lost entirely and in its place has come that stranger and foreign thing called the “program”. This word has been borrowed from the stage and applied with sad wisdom to the public service which now passes for worship among us.
Alas! worship should be a lifestyle just has it has been predestined from creation. Man was created to worship God; there is no two ways about it. But how can you worship what you did not know, neither what you do not love (John 4: 22). Worship starts from knowing how to love God with all your heart constantly doing his will and pleasure.
A life of worship is one that is characterized by submission of our entire being to God; if we have not learned to be worshippers, it does not really matter how well we do anything else. Worship changes us or it has not been worship, to stand before the holy one of eternity is to change.
Therefore, “worship begins in holy expectancy; it ends in holy obedience” as it is in this process that God communicates his presence to men. If we earnestly desire his presence in all we do, it is expedient that we start living a life of worship which is the first purpose for creation. This stems from our attitudes, actions, thoughts and words.
Let worship be simple, tender and heavenly, but all this cannot happen except we give our heart in worship to the creator of the universe.
it is God who gives us the spirit if Worship, hence we cannot begin to live a life of worship without having his spirit in us!
