Get Ready Atlanta for the Biggest and Best Gospel Showcase in Atlanta Celebrating the 20th Year Anniversary for the Gospel Choice Awards & Honoring 100 Most Influential Pastors.
Gospel Choice Awards 20th Year Anniversary will roll out the red carpet for Atlanta’s top Gospel Artist and Pastor; Grammy nominee Canton Jones (CAJO), Regina Bell and more will showcase some of the best talent Atlanta has to offer.
Once again, close to 1,500 people will descend upon the beautiful downtown Atlanta celebrating the 20th year anniversary for the spectacular Gospel Choice Awards on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 7pm. This year, in its 20th year anniversary, we will celebrate “How Far We’ve Come’ featuring the most notable gospel artist and the 100 most influential Pastors of Atlanta.
We are truly blessed to have anointed gospel artists grace us with their amazing talents: Canton Jones, Regina Belle, LaShun Pace, Patricia Leigh, The Wardlaw Brothers, Sharetta Nicole, Larry Sitzes, Kroger Choir, Joseph Walker and the Wings of Fire Prophetic Dance Ministry. The official host for the event will be Reggie Gay, host of the Reggie Gay Gospel Show.
Other highlights will include:
2014 Lifetime Achievement Awards. This Award recognizes an individual who have ‘made a difference’ in their community. The recipient for this year’s award is Dr. Gerald Durley, former Pastor of Providence Missionary Baptist Church and is a highly sough after speaker on civil and human rights issues.
2014 Thomas A. Dorsey Award recognizes individuals that are trailblazer in the Gospel Music industry. The recipient for this year’s award is Ms. LaShun Pace who has had countless hits on the Gospel Charts in addition to being inducted into Christian Music Hall of Fame.
2014 Creed Award is the highest recognized honor for the Gospel Choice Awards. This award recognizes superior accomplishments of prominent individuals whose work has had a significant positive impact in ministry, teaching, and public service. This very special award will be presented to a lifelong friend of the Gospel Choice Awards family – the late Bishop W. Ron Sailor, Sr., a broadcast torchbearer and Bishop at Christ the King Baptist Church in Dacula, Ga.
Other Awards and Presentations will include: The Canton Jones Youth Award
This year’s event will also honor 100 chosen Pastors from previous Gospel Choice Awards with a special memorable GCA medallion that will be presented during Pastor’s VIP reception in honor of their continuous work in the community focusing on the health, wealth and spiritual well-being.
