Social Media has indeed come to stay and asides the usual entertainment value it is known for, it is now becoming a tool for evangelism in Christianity.
General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church Of God (RCCG), Pastor E.A Adeboye shared a picture of himself on Facebook today,thanking his followers after hitting over 2 million likes!!!
He actually did it in a 'whats up' way where he is seen holding up a note that reads'Thank You for 2 million friends'. He then goes on to say "I would like to thank you all for 2 million followers on Facebook. May The Lord bless you and speedily answer all your prayers in Jesus Name. Let's continue to spread the good news"
So many churches now have Facebook and Twitter pages to mention a few and it seems like its beginning to actually make so much sense if someone as conservative as Daddy G.O can create such an impact with his personal FB page.
