45th Annual GMA Dove Award Nominees Announced

The Gospel Music Association (GMA) has announced its nominees in 42 categories for the 45th Annual GMA Dove Awards. The announcement was made as part of a press conference at Allen Arena on the campus of Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN.
Leading this year’s nominees is Wayne Haun with 12 nominations followed by Hillsong United, Lecrae, Mandisa, and Matt Maher, each sporting five nominations.
Natalie Grant, Erica Campbell, Andy Mineo, and Hillsong Young & Free wracked up four nominations a piece, while gospel favorites Tye Tribbett and Hezekiah Walker each walked away with three nominations.

“Congratulations to all the nominees of the 45th Annual GMA Dove Awards,” saidJackie Patillo, Executive Director of theGospel Music Association. “The Dovescelebrate the impact of all genres of Gospel music, recognizing talent, ministry and outstanding performances. The other major announcement coming from this press conference is the new media partnership between the GMA Dove Awards and Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN). The network will air the awards show for the first time reaching over 100 million homes in the US. In addition, the show will stream for the first time ever on all mobile devices as part of this partnership.
“To be announcing that the 45th Annual GMA Dove Awards have a new home with TBN generates a lot of excitement for our organization.  Not only do our organizations align in mission, but TBN will get the show and our music out to a greater audience than ever before.  With their global and multi-platform enabled technology, virtually everyone, anywhere will be able to watch this year’s show,” continued Patillo.
“Once again the GMA Dove Awards will bring together the best and brightest singer, songwriters, musicians, and professionals in Gospel and Christian music,” said Matthew Crouch, Vice President of the Trinity Broadcasting Network. “And TBN, the leader in Christian television and America’s most-watched faith channel, is honored to serve as the exclusive broadcast host for this night of unforgettable and life-changing music.
Voting for the final winners takes place August 26 through September 9. The GMA Dove Awards will take place October 7 at 6:30p CT at Allen Arena on the campus of Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN.
