Album Review: Vintage Worship - Anita Wilson

Gospel singer Anita Wilson was drawn to music and singing at an early age, and in time she developed a vocal style that merged traditional gospel with Jazz, Pop, and R&B and these are what she offers in her latest project Vintage Worship. Anita takes us round different genre of music (Soul, Jazz, Pop, and RnB) that you just keep asking for more.

Going through the album Vintage Worship, we can feel the message on each song.

The Intro couldn’t have be done any better than what it is: A perfect medley that takes you straight to the throne of Grace with the solemn temple in which the song was delivered.  You could literary feel being drawn closer to God. Awesome.

That’s What He’s Done For Me, This song is among the first single released to promote this project and trust me it is Jazz at is best. It is the perfect feel good kind of music. When you reflect on what God has done you want this song  to come in handy.

Gooder Than Good; This is one song i will really like to watch Anita Wilson perform Live. So much energy and creativity in it. Catchy title by the way.

You Love Me: Okay, I cannot wait to see the music video for this song. It’s groovy, and it has inspirational lyrics.

Everything: This is actually my favourite song in the album ‘You are more than i can ever imagine, far beyond what i can comprehend. I will never understand why you love me so much, you are the definition of a friend’. These words/lyrics actually got to me. When you think about God’s love, most of the time we don’t just find the right words to describe it but i think the lyrics of this song came close. God is everything. A must listen.

Keep Doing What You Doing: Here is one classic soul track every fan of soul music will definitely appreciate and will want to listen to. The transition from the classic soul tune to the ‘Church’ was awesome. And of course they are other stand out tracks in the album.

This project Vintage Worship is filled with variety. There is absolutely something for everyone if you are a Jazz, Soul or RnB fan. And most importantly I pray that this album will bless everyone that listens to it. Thanks to Anita Wilson, and her producer Rick Robinson for dishing good music.
