FAITH UNITED: NASHVILLE is the embodiment of unity in faith and in
music. Nashville, TN is a mecca for Christian and Gospel music and
unfortunately these genres are sometimes divided. This event and
movement is uniquely positioned to be a catalyst for unity and
fellowship among artists, the industry and the Nashville community
through the vehicle of music gifted to us by Christ.
The event will be hosted by Dan Willis who is the Senior Pastor of
The Lighthouse Church of All Nations in Alsip, IL which is also known as
Chicago’s “Bridging the Gap” Church and is one of the nation’s leading
multicultural ministries with nearly seventy nationalities represented
in its congregation. Dan Willis is also the host of the Emmy Award
nominated late night Christian television show on TCT Network – “I’m
Just Sayin”.
Artists united for this inspiring night of worship include: The God
Father of Gospel and three time 2013 Dove Award nominee Ben Tankard and
Bishop Jerry L. Maynard and The Cathedral of Praise Choir who are also
2013 Dove Award Nominees in two categories. Rising newcomers Ethan Kent
noted for his radio hit “My Hope Is In Glory” and Washington DC based
female vocalist/pianist Ronnette Harrison will also be performing.
Soulful singer-songwriter Chris August will also be making a special
appearance. August cemented his name in the Christian music world and
earned the Texas native the coveted titles of “New Artist of the Year,”
“Male Vocalist of the Year” and “Pop Contemporary Album of the Year” at
the 42nd Annual GMA Dove Awards. August also had a massively popular
radio single “Starry Night,” which held the No.1 spot on Billboard’s
Christian / AC chart for six consecutive weeks and was the first debut
single to reach No.1 on that chart in more than three years.
Bringing a touch of classic soul to the concert will be Nashville duo Joint Heirs. Christian music veteran Veronica Petrucci and Gospel’s leading man Earnest Pugh will offer their powerful music ministries for the evening. Nashville Worship artists Terrell Hunt and Bryan Popin are slated to set an atmosphere of praise while Urban Praiser and rapper Uncle Reece promises to worship until he passes out!
