Swayed in the current ecclesiastical move rupturing the music scene is Port Harcourt’s finest contemporary Reggae/Dancehall maestro Daniel Inyang popularly known as “Dantonio”. The soul of his music sunk deep in positive vibes and delivered in his characteristic high-pitched resonant voice with such precision evident of a thoroughly nurtured musicianship - one cannot help but move and dance in its allure.
Starting out at an early age of 14, he would accompany his elder brother – a multi-talented musician, to band rehearsals at the Mount Zion Light House Full Gospel Church. His newly found passion was escalated as he would equally accompany the former to secular gigs and events starting 2003. In 2005, he joined the erstwhile “D-Gang”; a One-Man Live Band in the company of his friends – David “Mavy10” Krukru and Daniel “DannySpry” Suowari. The trio travelled the length and breadth of the Niger Delta playing and singing in various social events.
