Topic: A Mind Renewal
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
-Romans 12:2-
Surprisingly, medical experts have been able to scientifically provide ways to reproduce so many body parts, but no one has ever successfully produced a renewed mind; a mind more productive than that of God’s, to us. There is none that would make your thoughts fresher, purer, and/or sanctified. We have been so preoccupied with the physical; letting go of the most important things, which make all the difference but cannot be seen.
You mind is the central station of your life. Whatever comes to your mind, somehow affects you physically. When a person is troubled, it can reflect on the face; so also when that person has rest in his mind, it reflects. The mind controls almost everything about you, and you can predict how your day would end up, solely by the state of your mind.
This is why the above enjoins you to be transformed by the renewal of your mind, so the will of God can be made manifest in you. God has a perfect plan for you, but your mind must be able to contain those plans. You must be able to think and see yourself the way He wants you to, because it is those thoughts that bring His mind-full thoughts for you, into reality.
You are expected to learn to think God’s mind concerning you. A transformation of your mind to the standards of God, make every other change your life would need, easier and possible. When your mind is renewed, it attracts good and positive things to you. Moreover, you will know to act, walk, and speak His will; and that makes your walk with God acceptable.
Today therefore, consciously do a mind renewal. Are there areas where your mind might not be right with God and you know you need help? Ask Him, because He is willing and ready to conform you to His image. Remember, His grace is always sufficient for you. You will not miss it!
