Israel Houghton Readies New Music & New Album

Five-time Grammy award winning recording artist Israel Houghton is preparing to release new music. He teams with New Breed to present the new single “Covered”, which has been released to radio this week. Written and produced by Israel Houghton with co-producers Aaron Lindsey and Kevin Camp, “Covered” is a praise and worship anthem that rejoices about God’s grace received at the cross.   The new single is set to hit stores October 14.

“Anyone who has followed our music for any length of time in our 15 years of existence knows that we tend to sing a lot about God’s grace,” said Israel Houghton.  “We all need it. This single “Covered” represents the newest—and I believe clearest version of that force of God’s favor that I’ve ever had the privilege of writing.”

This single is the lead single from the forthcoming new live project titled Covered…Alive In Asia. That project will be recorded during varying stops of their Asian tour on Oct. 3 through Oct. 11. The tour will kick off in Jakarta, Indonesia and make stops in Malayasia, Japan, and South Korea before concluding on Oct. 11 in Manila, Philippines.

The new release marks Houghton’s 10th release with New Breed and will feature a concert film on limited theatrical release and DVD and a Spanish companion album.
